Itinerary
Pickup at your hotel lobby. We’ll pick you up at your hotel lobby around 06:30am, depending on your hotels location. The driver will get off the van and call you by your name.
Safety Brief and neoprene wetsuit fitting.
Boarding time and boat ride to the Whale Sharks Area (30 to 60 miles North East Cancun).
*Our boats are equipped with double engine to make the ride faster, less bumpy and more comfortable, excellent for families.
*Stay alert, we have big chances to see dolphins, mantas, and sea turtles.
Time to snorkel with the whale shark! We’ll take turns: 2 people at a time, always with a guide in the water, with no time limit.
* Bring your camera!
Tropical Power lunch with fresh ceviche. Delicious power lunch to recover energy on the way back. There’s veggie and vegan options (please note in the comments)
Time to go back. We are back in the marina. Bathrooms and freshwater showers are available.

- Whale Shark encounter is not guaranteed: Whale sharks are wild animals, so while we have a 98% success rate during the season, sightings can’t be 100% guaranteed and no refund will be issued.

Who can join Captain Whale Shark Tour Playa del Carmen?
Anyone who knows how to swim can join our whale shark tours. You do not need to be a strong swimmer to participate.
Kids and beginners can swim freely with a life vest, and advanced swimmers can swim with only a wetsuit.
The tour is not recommended for pregnant women or for people with back or neck injuries, or those who have had previous surgery.
We have welcomed guests with mobility issues, disabilities, and even pregnant women, but participation must be approved upon request.

Is it 100% Guaranteed to see the whale sharks during the season?
Almost. The likelihood is far higher, nearly 96%.
In addition to radars, drones, and thorough research, we have a skilled team.
Although it is extremely uncommon, there is still a little possibility that we will not see whale sharks.
What would happen if there were no whale sharks to be seen?
Unfortunately, as fuel and operating expenditures are part of our costs, we are unable to provide a refund. These are the primary expenses we charge, and if the whale sharks don’t show up because of their natural behavior, we won’t be able to pay for them.
We will notify you prior to your visit if we are aware that the odds are lower than normal. In this manner, you can choose whether to accept the danger or get your money back.
Are Photos and Videos Included in the Whale Shark Tour Playa del Carmen?
They are not included, sorry.
There will be a videographer in the water. If you enjoyed the material, you can check it out and buy it after the tour.
Additionally, you can give your equipment to the guide for a few fast photos if you bring it!
